Living in a house is becoming increasingly popular in Bulgaria and the market for houses is just as dynamic as that for apartments. But traditionally there are some negatives that are easily overlooked and make the experience quite unpleasant. Here are some of them.
- thelack of infrastructure in the villages;
- the difficulty, and often impossibility, of obtaining planning permission;
- theserious lack of craftsmen and construction workers and the big quarrels with them;
- the idea that if we build our own house it will be cheaper than if we buy a ready-made one;
- the serious maintenance costs of the house and yard;
- lack of bank lending for construction;
- the potential danger of obscuring the view for which you decided to buy a house in the first place.
