I was asked by a friend to share with him which I think is the best neighborhood to live in Plovdiv. So, in my opinion, the best neighborhood, the best neighborhood to buy a property and to live in is the neighborhood locked between Vasil Aprilov, Svoboda, Koprivshtitsa and 6th of September boulevards, or as we know it the neighborhood of the Health Fund. This for me is the top, Number One as there is a fairy tale. Here's why:
First of all the location - the location is very convenient for ... everything. You are 15 minutes walking distance from everything - the Rowing Base, the Main Street, the Plovdiv Mall, Kafland and Ludl, everything is within walking distance.
Second - the amenities of the neighborhood. There is a nice school - Kocho Chestemenski, on Blvd. Liberty has a prestigious kindergarten, on the blvd. There is a small park and something that is almost nowhere in the city - a playground for children to play football and basketball freely.
Third - the buildings. The neighborhood is mostly low buildings, I don't think there are more than 6 stories. Not to mention that most of the buildings were built in the mid 90's, so at the time when it was still being built according to the old room size requirements and the living rooms are quite nice, areas of 22 - 25 sqm, separately there are 4-5 sqm kitchens, bedrooms are 12 - 15 sqm, the rooms are normal, not the modern boxy, wondering where to put your wardrobe, not to mention a desk or a vacuum cleaner.
Fourth - peace of mind. It's downtown, but it's quiet, there are no big streets inside the neighborhood, no restaurants, no noisy office or administrative buildings with non-stop people moving around, only the Health Office is the thing that attracts more people during the day. Overall the neighborhood is very quiet, there are a lot of green areas between the blocks.
